Another election year is upon us, and because politicians will seek help and endorsements from houses of worship or religious leaders, questions about the appropriate role of religious bodies in the political process have arisen. AU has launched a national campaign to inform churches about federal tax law forbidding partisan politicking by tax-exempt groups.

Recently questions have arisen about the appropriate role of religion in politics and what activities houses of worship may undertake in the political process.
