Members of Congress are attacking the Johnson Amendment in multiple ways. Two stand-alone bills were introduced to repeal or weaken the current law. Language was also added to a House appropriations bill to weaken the law and to the House's version of the tax bill to essentially gut the Johnson Amendment.
